3 Step Integration Guide for Mobile and Desktop websites

The steps below will take you through the integration procedure for this service.


Step 1

Here is a draft version of how your AR Showcase will look (don’t worry, it will be in your brand/colours etc!)

a) Create a dedicated URL Landing page on your website for the AR Showcase. For example; “www.retailer.com/ar-showcase”

b) If you have already integrated eyekandy AR code into your product pages (this can be verified by visiting any product page on your website and observing a script loading from: media.pointandplace.com/js/pointandplace.js), simply copy/paste the same integration code, to the URL Landing page you created above.

c) Create and add ‘entry point’ banners across your website and you are live. (See Marketing Section for ideas)

(If you do not already have eyekandy Javascript integrated across your product pages, please see the integration process here to also add the AR product models at the Product Page level or please mail us at prioritysupport@eyekandy.com and use ‘SHOWCASE INTEGRATION in the Subject Header.)


Step 2

Provide a URL link to your Product Feed that meets the specifications outlined below either via:

  • Send via an email to ‘‘prioritysupport@eyekandy.com’ subject header ‘SHOWCASE FEED’.

  • The feed should be routinely updated, (recommended once a week) updated to ensure that the prices stay correct

Feed Specifications

The AR Showcase service requires information about your product inventory and pricing.

When publishing your feed please include the following columns:

  • brand
  • model
  • name
  • category
  • sku
  • price
  • image-url
  • product-page-url

The following columns can assist with matching more of your inventory, please include any that are available:

  • ean
  • mpn
  • upc

Step 3

To ensure all product categories have AR product models listed on Launch Day, please send a list of your Top 5 most trafficked product URL’s, for each product category, to ‘prioritysupport@eyekandy.com’ subject header ‘SHOWCASE TOP 5’.

Eyekandy will run an audit against our current AR product model database and fund any of your top 5 that are not already in the database to go live on Launch Day. This means that at a minimum, all product categories go live on Launch Day with at least 5 popular products in them.

  • Font size
  • Brand Colour
  • Product Categorisation Structure
